The SiliconDrive™ 2.5" Drives are developed by the californian manufacturer
SiliconSystems.
The used memory and controller technology makes the SiliconDrive products
ideal for industrial applications.

The standard product comes with the unique SiSMART
Technology. This new patent pending technology monitors the
write/erase cycles of the flash cells in the cards and drives. This
way it is possible to predict the remaining life
span of the products
and to plan the future usage.
The optional SiliconDrive
Secure product line offers seven unique security features to
guard against critical user data falling into the wrong hands or software
IP theft.
Standard temperature range from 0°C to
+70°C (operating). Optional extended industrial temperature range
from –40°C to +85°C (operating).

What are Solid State Disks?
The common feature of all Solid State Disks is that the data
is stored on Flash chips. Solid State Disks are insensitive
to shock, vibration, temperature effects and extreme air pressure changes
and are highly resistant to EMC and ESD.
Solid State Disks do not have sensitive rotating
components. They are totally silent in operation and have a
low current consumption.
You can write, read and delete the data just like
a conventional hard disk. Mechanical hard disks in mobile systems
and industrial computers can be replaced by pin-compatible Solid State
Disks. |
