The industrial Flash memory products from SiliconSystems are now being
distributed in Germany by altec ComputerSysteme GmbH.

Starting immediately, altec ComputerSysteme GmbH is the German
distributor for the SiliconDrive™ product range from the Californian
company SiliconSystems.
SiliconSystems is a young and innovative manufacturer of memory products
whose ambition is to meet its customers’ needs in a flexible and individual
way.
Following SanDisk’s decision in January to phase out all of their industrial
and standard grade products at the end of April, altec can now supply you
with equivalent products from SiliconSystems. The technical specifications are comparable to the SanDisk
I-Grade products.
SiliconSystems’ product range consists of 2.5" FlashDrive (max. 8 GB), PC Card (max. 8 GB), CompactFlash (max. 4 GB)
and 40-pin module (max. 2 GB). Single Level Cell (binary) NAND Flash serves as memory.
The Tahoe Controller, which was developed in-house by SiliconSystems,
has a highly-effective 6-bit ECC error correction algorithm.
DMA support, serialization and versions for an extended temperature
range of –40°C to +85°C (operating) make the SiliconDrive™
products ideal for industrial applications.
Additional high-end features are provided for special applications
and the aerospace sector. SiliconSystems
guarantees long product lifecycles and is offering a 5 year
warranty on all products.
SiliconDrive™ Flash memory products feature a high
reliability (MTBF >4 mio.
hours compared to >3 mio. hours), a long
lifetime (write/erase
cycles >2 mio.) and very good shock
resistance (1,000 G,
half sine wave of 0.5 ms duration) and
vibration resistance (16.3 G RMS), all
tested to the MIL Standard 810F.
The SiliconSystems product line offers a very good price/performance
ratio, especially with memory capacities above 64 MB, and is
available immediately. |
