altec ComputerSysteme GmbH got a top-class partner with strong presence
in the international market when it signed a distribution
agreement with SiliconSystems.
SiliconSystems is the world leader in industrial
grade solid-state storage solutions. Strengthening its European
presence is part of the California-based Company’s overall strategic
plan to expand its reach worldwide.

SiliconDrive products are now available in Germany along
with the following countries:
France, United Kingdom, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, the Nordic countries,
Slovakia, Southern Europe and North Africa, Czech-Republic and Hungary.
SiliconSystems’ SiliconDrive™ product line consists of
the following form factors: 2.5" FlashDrive (max.
8 GB), PC Card (max.
8 GB),
CompactFlash (max.
4 GB) and 40-pin
Module (max. 2 GB). Single
Level Cell (binary) NAND Flash serves as memory.
SiliconDrives feature
a highly-effective 6-bit
ECC error correction algorithm as well as a patent-pending Wear-Leveling
system.
Moreover, all products feature the patented PowerArmor™ technology and many other options such as fast and secure data erasure, software
write protection and passwords for read and write access.
SiliconSystems guarantees long product lifecycles and is offering a 5
year warranty on all SiliconDrive products.
