The SiliconDrive EP 2.5-inch PATA drive delivers faster speeds and higher capacities as the proven SiliconDrive II™ product line. The used memory and controller technology makes the SiliconDrive products ideal for industrial applications.
The standard product comes with the unique SiliconSystems technologies:
- Wear-Leveling
- PowerArmor
- SiSMART
SiliconSystems SiSecure technology is not available for the SiliconDrive EP product line.

Capacity: 16 GB to 64 GB
Form factor: Standard 2.5" HDD 9.5 mm height
Standard temperature range from 0°C to +70°C (operating).
Optional extended industrial temperature range from –40°C to +85°C (operating).
Power requirement: 5 Volt.

What are Solid State Disks?
The common feature of all Solid State Disks is that the data is stored on Flash chips. Solid State Disks are insensitive to shock, vibration, temperature effects and extreme air pressure changes and are highly resistant to EMC and ESD.
Solid State Disks do not have sensitive rotating components. They are totally silent in operation and have a low current consumption.
You can write, read and delete the data just like a conventional hard disk. Mechanical hard disks in mobile systems and industrial computers can be replaced by pin-compatible Solid State Disks.
