What are USB 2.0 Modules?
USB modules are ideal memory solutions for industrial use respectively embedded systems. They are small, low cost and very rugged.
You can find one or more USB interfaces in nearly every micro controller which are able to control an USB module.
Due to the limited number of signal lines you keep free space on the boards, system stability rises.
SiliconSystems offers a series of development adapters; simply plug one of the SiliconDrive II USB products into the adapter and plug it in to a standard USB port on a desktop or notebook computer. The computer recognizes the SiliconDrive as another drive in the system and the software engineer is immediately ready to develop code.
USB-Modules are now used in a wide range of devices.
In industry they are used e.g. in mobile measuring equipment, industrial PCs, single board computers, as on board memory expansion or in PLCs.
