Navigator 2006 Satellite Navigation Package utilizes altec
High-Speed CopyStations for transferring information onto its
SD Cards.
Each altec High-Speed CopyStation consists
of a PC
and an internal copy module with standard chassis as
well as exchangeable CardBoxes for various
types of mobile memory media.
Every CardBox has 20 slots. A separate controller for each card slot
allows parallel processing of copy commands for very
high performance.
There are only minimal breaks between the copying
sessions since the
CardBoxes are exchanged when completely fitted with cards. During the copying
session a second CardBox can be fitted in order to save time.
CardBoxes are available for the following types
of mobile media:
RS-MMC, miniSD, SD Card, MultiMediaCard, Compact-Flash and OTP
(One Time Programmable)
SD/MMC. Moreover, CardBoxes for additional media types such as
TransFlash or Memory Stick Duo are planned.
The CopyStations run user-friendly Software based on MS Windows.
Custom data encryption software, in this case developed especially
for Gizmondo to prevent illegal copying of data from the cards, is also
incorporated within the copy process.
