The new ATA Flash memory cards from
SanDisk and in some cases from other manufacturers too now
support DMA (Direct Memory Access) in True
IDE-Modus to the new CFA
Specification 2.1.
Under modern operating systems,
this feature assumes that the memory card is able
to exchange DMA signals with the host computer.
This was previously not possible for products
where ATA Flash cards were operated in True IDE mode.
We can provide you with two solutions:
1) All altec products
listed on this page are available in a DMA-enabled
version. This is indicated by an additional «D» at the end of
the item number.
2) For the new SanDisk cards which will be used
under the above conditions, we provide a service to disable the DMA feature.
If you have further questions about this topic,
please get in touch with your usual altec contact person or click
here to look for a suitable contact person. |
