1. NEW: Upgrade Kit for High-Speed
CopyStation
From now on your High-Speed
CopyStation
can be 50% faster!
It is quite easy: Simply order our Upgrade Kit for High-Speed
CopyStation now and transform your current system into the
Ultra Version.
With the convenience of our modular designed High-Speed CopyStation
Ultra you can copy content to up to 120 cards with 2 GB in
an hour. This equals a transfer rate of approx. 70 MB/sec.
This number already includes the time for the change between
two CardBoxes. The absolute data throughput is approximately
75 MB/sec.

2. NEW: Serialization with USB Stick CopyStation
As a third optional software for our USB Stick
CopyStation
with seven USB slots we now offer a software interface for
data exchange with external applications to allow customization
of individual USB sticks.
When this software feature is activated, each USB stick will
be shown as logical drive under Windows XP after it has been programmed
with content, and an external software program is started. Serial number
and logical drive letter of each USB memory stick are passed on to this
program. Please note: not every USB memory stick has an individual serial number. In
cases with no serial number, a series of zeros is transferred.
The external software needs to be programmed by the customer
according to his needs. This programming can also be done by altec’s
Development Divsion. For instance this program could create
specific data files, which are then copied to the individual USB stick.
This allows an individualization of each memory stick’s content.

3. Improved microSD CardBox
We have further improved our microSD CardBox by installing
a so called Floating Base.
When the CardBox is open, the contact pins
do not protrude anymore. This way they are better protected
when the memory cards are inserted.
The price for the improved CardBox for altec High-Speed
CopyStation
remains the same.
This is only one of many measures which we have taken
over the last years to further develop and improve our products.

4. NEW: SiliconDrive USB Blade
First evaluation samples of the 2nd Generation product family
SiliconDrive USB Blade will be available in December 2007. A Host Developer
Tool Kit will then be available as well.
Initially, SiliconDrive USB Blade will be available in
capacities of 512 MB, 1 and 2 GB. The innovative edge
USB connector has spring-loaded snaps at either end of
the slot to ensure hat the SiliconDrive
USB Blade is held securely in place, allowing installation
either vertically or at a right angle.
Applications are for example industrial automation and
robotics where easy installation, bootability, small form factors as well
as environmentally ruggedness at low prices are in demand.
This product is based on SiliconSystems’ next generation storage
technology platform.
The 2nd Generation product line will gradually be introduced
in addition to the first product generation which will also be available.
It will also be characterized by high reliability and multi-year product
lifecycles.
A high performance of the USB Blade products (10 MB/sec.
read and write rates) accomodates the growing demands
of host applications.

If you haven't already done so, you can register to

section of our website. After receiving your
passwort, you can download the current
