1. NEW: USB MultiDrive 4+
The successor for our USB
MultiDrive 4, the new RoHS compliant USB
MultiDrive 4+,
is now available.
The drives differ in RoHS compliancy and the Memory Stick
Slot. The new USB MultiDrive 4+ has four memory card slots
for PC Card, CF Card, SD & SDHC Card/MMC and Memory Stick PRO or
PRO Duo.
The drives comes as an internal 3.5" or external version. Both are
equipped with an USB 2.0 HiSpeed interface.

2. NEW: High-Speed CopyStation Software
3.4
Starting immediately, the High-Speed
CopyStation
comes with the new in-house developed copying software 3.4.
The new software has the same «Look & Feel» as all other
copying software. The user interface is selectable for English
or German. Other languages are available on demand.
A big difference compared to the version 3.3.2 is the Job
Wizard. The Job Wizard helps specifying parameters for the copy job such
as the image file name, number of copies and whether to verify after writing
or not. Here all settings can be managed and stored.
The software is compatible to Windows 2000 and XP. The High-Speed
CopyStation is delivered with Windows XP Professional.

3. NEW: USB CopyStation Software 1.0.2
The current copying software for the USB Stick
CopyStation
has the version number 1.0.2. There are some changes
in the user interface. The new version is also provided with an extended
User’s Guide.
The software option for creating and copying smaller
images files, which is available for an extra
charge, (Item no. 31AL1812) is improved. With
this, USB Sticks where much less data is stored than the
actual storage capacity permits can be programmed much
quicker.
We will provide all customers of this CopyStation with
the new software version 1.0.2 free of charge next week.

4. New SiliconDrive
2.5" Drive Frame Kit
Our supplier SiliconSystems will change the frame
kit for SiliconDrive
2.5" Drives.
The new frame kit is made out of marine grade 5250
aluminium instead of stamped sheet metal.
The IDE connector and all mounting holes are located
in the same positions. Therefore no mechanical modifications
for the use of the 2.5" Drives are required.

5. New European Sales Manger at altec
Mr. Holger Schott (33) in his position as European
Sales Manager is responsible for the business with
CopyStations in Europe as well as all dealings with
selected key accounts in Germany. He also focuses on
custom specific developments.
Mr. Schott has a degree in electronics engineering.

the field of project business.

6. Successful second surveillance audit
Altec ComputerSysteme has successfully passed the second
surveillance audit for the ISO
9001:2000 certification
of our qualitiy management system.
The audit was carried out at our premises by the company
SGS Deutschland GmbH at the end of November 2006.
